本作は世界初のロールプレイングゲームとされるテーブルトークRPG『ダンジョンズ＆ドラゴンズ（D＆D）』をベースにした「Baldur’s Gate」シリーズのナンバリング第3作。
日本での発売日は12月21日が予定されており、価格は税込8580円となっています。対応プラットフォームはPlayStation 5とPC。
